I was trawling through our photo albums and came across some forgotten images of our bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge and the views from them. Here are some to share in this post.
The Dalesway bedroom
The Dalesway: a pretty room furnished with French antiques which overlooks the calming woodlands on Brantfell.Lovely antiques fill The Dalesway, my favourite room. The most lovely tranquil views from The Dalesway room. Laze in the pretty Louise XV antique bed and relax!Practically in our backyard: cows rest under the shade of National Trust woodlands just on the other side of our hedge.
The Fairfield bedroom:
A photo of The Fairfield, our largest bedroom at Blenheim Lodge B&B.January 2016 winter view from The Fairfield bedroom. You can just see the edge of a cushion on the daybed in this photoThe daybed in The Fairfield sits in and 8-foot wide floor to ceiling bay windows.I love waking up to mist on the Lake. This is the northern side of Lake Windermere onto which The Fairfield overlooks.
The Attic bedroom
The Attic room is graced by a Louis XV-style bed from the 19th century. At one end of The Attic are my well loved antique dressing table and stool which my mother-in-law gave me. There is sentimental value in these items, so I always hope that guests will take good care of them!A bird’s eye view of Lake Windermere and the mountains from The Attic room!A camera’s close-up view from The Attic of Lake Windermere and the Claife Heights mountains.
