Summer’s been beautiful this year of 2024! As August Bank Holiday arrives on the scene, let’s hope that we’ll enjoy lots more sunshine in the Lake District National Park, where good weather combined with amazing views of the landscapes that inspired poets such as William Wordsworth and Alfred, Lord Tennyson, will also inspire Nature lovers to visit one of England’s most beautiful places to visit! The weather has also been cooperating – not too hot and not chilly. Just nice, in fact! Indeed, it’s perfect weather for walking and sightseeing!
At Blenheim Lodge, we offer a cosy friendly place to stay that is situated off the main road so that anyone craving a relaxing getaway after a busy week may find some peace and quiet to replace the clamours of life. To the back of our house are trails to explore, viewpoints to find, and panoramas and 360-degree views to enjoy! There is a wetland area too with resident water fowls, and one can walk from one fell to the next and to the next etc. Brant Fell is the one that Blenheim Lodge is situated upon, but check out School Knott and School Knott Tarn behind our place, and also Biskey Howe and Cleabarrow.
The Dales Way is a long distance walk between Bowness on Windermere and Ilkley. Explore parts of this trail when you visit the Lakes. It passes through some gorgeous areas and is not difficult to negotiate. Blenheim Lodge itself is the first guest house in Bowness on Windermere as one comes off The Dales Way. So, if you’re a walker looking for a friendly place to stay and a comfy bed, please to check us out!
Meanwhile, I shall bid you “Good Afternoon” with some snapshots of our home-from-home guest house in the Lake District National Park and the views from them. There are more photos of our Bed and Breakfast on our website: www.blenheim-lodge.com and in our Blog posts and Facebook Page.
