At Chapel House Wood on 24th April 2016.

I recently wrote a post on another Blog, entitled ‘If you go into the woods today . . . ‘. Hubby and I had taken Zack, our Pyrenean Mountain Dog to Chapel House Wood for a walk. It was our first time there – and what a surprise it turned out to be. We had never walked through woods like these before in the Lake District National Park. They sparked our imagination and sent delicious shivers down our backs, whilst simultaneously reminding us of the breadth of countryside experiences and vistas which may be had in this magnificent part of the world.

If you click here, you should come to the post I wrote yesterday. Do let me know what you think! And if you should like to experience all this Lake District loveliness for yourself, please do come visit the Lakes and explore all we have to offer here. Many people fall in love with our beautiful Lakeland, and I am sure you will too!

The Dales Way Walk can be seen from one of our bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge, also called The Dalesway after the footpath. This is what guests see from The Dalesway room.
This is the type of woodland we are more used to, particularly as this one is practically in our backyard. The Dalesway, a pretty room with tranquil woodland views where you might hear an owl hooting at night and birds singing you an early evening lullaby.
