As we enter February, we have put up some new Special Offers for Winter and Spring. Many people think that there is not much to see and do in the Lake District National Park during these seasons, but actually there is plenty to enjoy and be occupied with. Bowness-on-Windermere, where our guest house, Blenheim Lodge, is located, is always a hive of activity with the local Windermere Cruises ferrying visitors from one pier to another, where visitors can get on and off at will to explore and discover the villages at these bays.
There is even a car ferry that runs every 10 minutes for guests who prefer to drive across Lake Windermere. The car ferry is only 0.75 mile from our front door, and Windermere Cruises is even closer by at just a 5-7-minute walk from Blenheim Lodge.
There are, of course, other outdoor things to see and do. If you prefer outdoor activities, why not take a meandering walk along The Dales Way which is just next to our guest house and wander Brantfell (into which our B&B nestles) at will. Walk to various viewpoints using this footpath and its offshoots to enjoy some absolutely stunning scenery. Many footpaths in Cumbria will lead on to others, and guests can walk from Bowness to Windermere and thence via these paths, and so on.
