At Blenheim Lodge, we have just decided to open our doors to see in the New Year, which really is just around the corner. If you have a few days to spare, why not make that final gesture of romance in 2015 by taking your loved one away to see in the New Year 2016? AND MAKE IT A ROMANTIC NEW YEAR RETREAT IN THE HEART OF THE LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK! Our Bed and Breakfast tariffs have been DISCOUNTED to those from previous years.

The Langdale is a lovely bright room. Set out before its floor to ceiling triple windows are a coffee table and two comfy chairs just for you both to relax in and admire stunning panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the mountains.

The Langdale offers a magnificent 4-poster bed and is perfect for a relaxing romantic break. Enjoy some tremendous lake views from this room.

If, however, you fancy a French antique bed, with all its connotations of romance, how about considering a breakaway in The Attic room? Vastly different in character from The Langdale, The Attic is all about being chummy and cosy! From its Velux window are phenomenal views of Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells.

Our attic room enjoys stunning views of Lake Windermere from a velux window set in the ceiling on one side of the room. There is a private bathroom with a freestanding claw foot slipper bath.

Blenheim Lodge, our Bed and Breakfast in Bowness-on-Windermere, has 10 bedrooms offering beautiful views of Old Bowness, Lake Windermere and the pier. Each room is unique in character, and guests who like a more contemporary feel may prefer Claife Heights, a standard double room on the first floor of our Bowness guest house. Snuggle close on the inviting window seat and look out over the Lake to the mountains beyond.

The standard double room chosen by this family was Claife Heights, situated on the first floor of Blenheim Lodge with views of Lake Windermere and the fells.

This is the view of Lake Windermere as seen from most of our bedrooms, including Claife Heights, and the guest lounge. Stunning, isn’t it?

Even our ground floor rooms have views of Lake Windermere, albeit not as far-reaching as those from our first and second floor rooms. One of our ground floor rooms is The Blue Room, a standard double room with a very comfy bed and two dainty antique French boudoir chairs situated in the bay window.

Blenheim Lodge Bed and Breakfast comprises 11 bedrooms. One of these, my favourite, does not have a view of Lake Windermere: The Dalesway overlooks the fell into which our Bowness B&B is nestled, Brantfell. I love the French antique Louis XV bed in this room – so romantic!

You can also see The Dales Way trail to the left of the photo if you look closely. The small hedge at the forefront of the photo separates Blenheim Lodge from the acres of beautiful National Trust land that border our back garden.
