November, the month when Autumn progresses and our Lakeland landscape takes on the hues of deepest orange, brown, gold, red, burgundy and, yes, black. As a resident of the Lake District National Park, I am fascinated by the changing colours of earth and water as I gaze out over Lake Windermere and the fells from our Bed and Breakfast in Bowness-on-Windermere. One can look out of the window and literally detect changes to the face of Lake Windermere minute by minute depending on the wind direction, air pressure and elements. Take a look at the photo below.
