Hello! I wanted to say, quite simply, “How are you?” I MEAN, “HOW ARE YOU?” It’s been rather a bruising year thus far for those who’ve lost loved ones, lost their jobs, lost their mojo, lost the will to keep going. BUT, keep going we must! Or the virus will have won!
Of course the virus has made a huge impact over the past year. Nonetheless, with the vaccines in place, we are beginning to see a light at the end of our year-long tunnel. We have been told by the UK government that we may re-open our doors on 17th May. To this end, we are now taking forward bookings for our Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
Blenheim Lodge has 11 bedrooms in total, with different rooms to suit differing requirements and budgets. ALL our rooms have their own shower en-suite facilities, with one having a private bathroom boasting a clawfoot slipper bath if you prefer a hot relaxing soak. Ten rooms have fantastic views over Lake Windermere and the fells – some panoramic – and one has a pretty tranquil outlook onto Brant Fell where you might see the wild deer if you’re lucky. As everyone who has been living in the UK will know, strict restrictions have meant that many guest houses haven’t been able to open their doors at all particularly during the rougher periods of the pandemic. For us, this has literally meant almost a full year out of business in adherence to the law. Nonetheless, we wanted to offer what little we can afford to guests who BOOK DIRECT with us at Blenheim Lodge. In essence, we are taking off £5 for bookings which encompass 3 or more nights’ stay.
