Autumn’s here, and the colours are absolutely gorgeous! So brilliantly gorgeous that I thought I would post some recent photos in this post.
We parked alongside the River Brathay near Ambleside, about 5 miles from our guest house, Blenheim Lodge, and found a 6-mile footpath/bridle path/cycle path from there signposted for the Bowness Ferry at Ferry House.
Meanwhile, from our windows at Blenheim Lodge, we and our guests enjoy some absolutely stunning views of Lake Windermere and the fells beautifully clothed in Autumn garb! Why not come and enjoy these wonderful views and amazing scenery with us?
Below is a sequence of views taken from our windows, which show the Lake and fells as seen from left to right. If you click onto our Facebook Page, you will be able to see a video of these views as the camera pans Lake Windermere and the fells from our room.
Come and enjoy a time of peace and relaxation at our Lodge. Come for some hiking, for a romantic getaway, or simply for some ‘me’ time. We have some last minute availability and would be delighted to welcome you here. Make our quiet retreat yours too when you stay at homely, unpretentious, inviting Bowness Bed and Breakfast.
