The Lake District abounds with activities and beautiful vistas. However, it is also a place for rest and relaxation, where visitors can do as little or as much as they like. Blenheim Lodge, our B&B, is situated in a quiet part of Bowness-on-Windermere despite being a mere stone’s throw away from its bustling town centre, Lake Windermere and Bowness Pier.
The fells behind our Bowness-on-Windermere bed and breakfast, ‘where the deer and the antelope play’. Well . . . not quite! But certainly where the sheep and the cows graze. This photo was taken from The Dalesway room which overlooks Brantfell.
Our location in Bowness sees our guest house backing into gorgeous fell land, Brantfell, with easy access to four viewpoints featuring sweeping panoramic and 360-degree Lakeland views. Why not come experience such beauty and tranquility for yourself?
This farm gate, a half-minute stroll from Blenheim Lodge, gives access from Brantfell Road onto Brantfell. The footpath you see is The Dales Way, via which are footpaths to four viewpoints: Biskey Howe, School Knott, Post Knott, and Brantfell. Here is a picture of one of the viewpoints behind our guesthouse, Blenheim Lodge.
