It’s the last weekend in August and the sun’s shining brightly. At Blenheim Lodge, we still have Bed and Breakfast accommodation available for single, double, twin and triple occupancy in lovely rooms with Lake and fell views. Why not come for a last minute break in the Lake District and stay with us?

Lake Windermere with boat
A panoramic view of Lake Windermere amid lush greenery as seen from our many of our rooms at Blenheim Lodge. See the ferry cruising the Lake? Why not take a cruise yourself? We have an exclusive deal with Windermere Lake Cruises, where only guests staying at Blenheim Lodge are able to take advantage of a 10% discount voucher we can give you.

Just yesterday, Chris Evans, the radio personality, praised Cartmel, a pretty village about a 15-minute drive from Bowness-on-Windermere, where our guest house, Blenheim Lodge B&B, is located. If you have a weekend free, how about coming to the Lakes and visiting Cartmel and the other pretty villages dotted about the Lake District for yourself? I am sure you will think them interesting and lovely! Here are some photos of the Lake District that visitors can see for themselves in real life!

Newby Bridge is about 4 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere. Near it, is High Dam at Finsthwaite village, a lovely tarn which one may often enjoy by one’s self unlike some of more populous Lakeland waters, where crowds gather. (Photo courtesy of www.cumbriaphoto.co.uk.)

And here are some images of the accommodation and the views guests may enjoy from their rooms that we have available this weekend.

Here is Brantfell, one of our single bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge Bed and Breakfast. In pride of place is an antique Queen Anne bed situated by the window, from which are views to the north of Lake Windermere.

This gorgeous view can be seen from most of our bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge, as well as from the lounge and porch. One Japanese visitor, an artist, painted this view as a keepsake of their visit to our guest house.

I hope these images have whetted your appetite for an August summer weekend in the Lake District. Do come stay with us. You will be made most welcome.
