It will be the first weekend of Summer 2014 come tomorrow. Why not take your first Summer break in the beautiful Lake District? We are offering last minute deals on rooms with lovely Lake and mountain views, and would be delighted to welcome you to a relaxing escape at our 4-Star Lake District guest house.

The guest lounge at Blenheim Lodge is a light-filled room, with amazing views of Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells.

Located in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Blenheim Lodge offers a central location with easy access for roaming around the Lakes. From here, we can book you into tours that pick up and drop off at our guest house; direct you to Bowness Pier (7 minutes’ walk from our B&B) where you can hop onto the ferries that ply Lake Windermere; point you to bus stops in Bowness or Windermere where you can ride the buses to explore more of the Lake District; etc.

Lake Windermere with boat
A panoramic view of Lake Windermere amid lush greenery as seen from our many of our rooms at Blenheim Lodge. See the ferry cruising the Lake? Why not take a cruise yourself? We have an exclusive deal with Windermere Lake Cruises, where only guests staying at Blenheim Lodge are able to take advantage of a 10% discount voucher we can give you.

If you are not driving, Windermere Train Station and Bus Depot is only a mile from our guest house so it is easy to get to us. Once in Bowness-on-Windermere, where Blenheim Lodge is located, you can do LOTS with public transport. The bustling town of Bowness with all its amenities and attractions is only 2-5 minutes’ walk downhill from our guest house, and there are bus and boat links, walks practically on our doorstep, and of course local tours to take advantage of.

This is The Dalesway, one of our bedrooms that offers flexible sleeping configurations of double, twin and triple occupancy. This lovely bedroom is my favourite and overlooks fields and woodlands at the back of our Bowness Bed and Breakfast, Blenheim Lodge.

I hope these photos have whetted your appetite for a break in the Lake District National Park. All guests staying with us can also take advantage of free membership to the Parklands Country Club, located 7 minutes’ walk from our guest house. And if you like fishing, we can offer two free local fishing permits on a first come first served basis. There is so much to see and do, we are sure you will have fun here!
