It never fails to amaze me how quickly the scenery that surrounds us in the Lake District National Park can change from one minute to another. Even more so, I have come to appreciate that the surrounding skies have an enormous effect on the overall atmosphere of the areas they overlook. As we live in a Bed and Breakfast that boasts magnificent views of Lake Windermere and the mountains from our guest bedrooms, I have posted photos of these views taken from just one of our bedrooms so you can see how differently the moods of this landscape can feel, just simply because of the skies above.

Here is a view of Lake Windermere looking northward towards Ambleside. This photo was taken by a guest at the beginning of the month from The Eyrie room, his bedroom at our guest house, Blenheim Lodge.

This view from The Eyrie was captured by a repeat Japanese guest who recently stayed in this room. Marvel at the wonderful vista before you!

Now here is another photo of the same view during a different season. This photo captures earthen shades of light and darkness that makes it look almost like a painting.

This image of Lake Windermere and fells was captured today from The Eyrie, our shower en-suite single room on the second floor of our house.

Of course the photo below captures a different time of the year from the ones above. This picturesque landscape imparts a serenity that seems to arise from one’s surroundings, reaching out to encompass oneself.

Lastly, here is a recent view of Lake Windermere from The Eyrie. Please read my photo description below.
