I kept thinking today of the phrase, ‘picture windows on the world’. Then, I thought, ‘Why not share picture windows on Lake Windermere instead?’ So, here are some photos of Lake Windermere taken from our guest house, Blenheim Lodge. I have tried to include an element of the location from which the photos were snapped, so that readers can see the locations they were taken from.

Here is a photo of Lake Windermere taken from The Langdale 4-poster room.

The photo below was taken from The Fairfield room.

Imagine lazing on this comfy daybed, and looking out towards these lovely north Lake Windermere views.

We have now changed the throws in The Fairfield room. You can see another part of the room below.

The Fairfield, our largest room, has a 5′ king-size bed and an antique daybed.

One of our standard double rooms is The Blue Room. Despite being is situated on the ground floor of the house, there are still good views of Lake Windermere and the mountains.

We have three single bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge. This is the view of Lake Windermere taken from Brantfell, one of our single bedrooms.

A view of north Lake Windermere from Brantfell, a single room at Blenheim Lodge, Lake District. Our neighbour has now cut down the tall conifer in the foreground, so our view of the Lake are even better now.

And here is a photo of Brantfell.

Brantfell, a single room with antique Queend Anne bed and handmade mattress, offers a comfortable place of retreat.

Of course we do not only have views of Lake Windermere at Blenheim Lodge. The back of the house overlooks acres of woodlands and fields and this is the view from The Dalesway bedroom.

And here is a photo of The Dalesway room, which is my favourite room of all!

The Dalesway, a pretty room with tranquil woodland views where you might hear an owl hooting at night and birds singing you an early evening lullaby.

All our rooms have nice views. However, I thought I would share a penultimate one of the view from our guest lounge.

Enjoy a seat by the window with a tea tray.
What our Bed and Breakfast encapsulates: take time for yourself, and enjoy views of Lake Windermere through our huge triple floor to ceiling bay windows in our lounge whilst having a welcome sup of tea and biscuits.

And a last one of the view from our front porch.

It is relaxing lazing about in our home because we get to see all these lovely views from our windows. Hopefully our visitors will enjoy them as much as we do. I will share other views of the Lakes another time.
