The Lake District looks beautiful in all seasons. At least, that is my perception; although I must admit that perhaps the reason why I have such a predisposition for the Lakes is due to the fact that my family and I enjoy great views of Lake Windermere and the fells from the windows of our guest house, Blenheim Lodge, in all but the most foggy of days. And even when it is foggy, the stretch of clouds hovering over the lake and fells conveys its own distinct beauty, giving us and our B&B guests in our Lakeland retreat the most wonderful feeling of being safely cocooned in warmth and comfort whilst watching the antics of weather permutations without. So here are some contrasting images of Lake Windermere I would like to share with you.

This gorgeous view can be seen from most of our bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge, as well as from our guest lounge and porch. One Japanese visitor, an artist, painted this view as a keepsake of their visit to our guest house.
