Built in 1868, Blenheim Lodge is reminiscent of gracious residences of yesteryear and offers quality AA 4-star bed and breakfast accommodation in Bowness-on-Windermere. Our non-smoking family guest house has a relaxed atmosphere where guests are encouraged to put their feet up and feel at home! Our quiet location off the busy main roads of Bowness-on-Windermere promotes a good night's sleep in any of our 11 lovingly furnished bedrooms for single, double, twin or triple occupancy, all of which have Lake or countryside views.
A Laura Ashley interior designer was commissioned to help with the colour schemes and décor at Blenheim Lodge. Each room is unique in style, ranging from the gorgeously romantic Louis VX French boudoir feel of 'The Dalesway' with its 'away from it all' countryside outlook to 'The Langdale' with its bright and sunny character proudly featuring a 5' king-size William IV 4-poster bed and stunning views of Lake Windermere. Add some treats – flowers, chocolates, champagne, cake – to your booking, and conjure up a loving, charming date to remember! We would only be too glad to help you celebrate your special occasion.
Each bedroom comes with LCD flat screen TV, hairdryer, an information pack about things to see and do, and coffee and tea making facilities. Handmade mattresses are used on the beds, including incredibly comfortable pocket sprung mattresses from the up-market bed shop, And So To Bed. All our beds are dressed with quality Dorma bedding and snuggly Norwegian duvets; and guests are provided with luxury bath sheets, hand towels and essential toiletries. Whether it is a single, double, twin or triple room, we have given equal care and attention to each of them.
In order to ensure a true depiction of our guest house and the views from our rooms, Blenheim Lodge elected not to use a professional photographer for all photos pertaining to our bed and breakfast accommodation. Instead, all the photos of the rooms and the views from them seen below and on our Gallery page were kindly donated by guests who had previously stayed at our guest house in Bowness-on-Windermere.
The room descriptions have also been written to give as clear as possible a detailed word picture of each room. Features of individual rooms have been highlighted next to their names, with further information about them, including any quirks, such as small en-suites, being mentioned. We are here to help, so please feel free to ask for any further information about our bed and breakfast accommodation that you wish to know before making a decision to book.
