Fresh clean bedding and towels @ Blenheim Lodge | Bowness on Windermere | Cumbria Lake District

Beautiful in all seasons, the Lake District National Park is a wonderful place to visit as it awakens from its Winter sleep. Easter is a great time to visit, with abundant new emerging flora and clear blue skies where birds lift and swoop in happy abandon. From our guest bedroom windows, guests are treated to vistas of an azure Lake Windermere, winking in resplendent glory under a later setting sun. Many Lakeland fells can also be seen from our guesthouse bedroom windows shrouded in Spring greens agleam under luminescent sunlight. Activities abound in the Lakes at this time of year, with historic homes and sites open for all to visit and enjoy.

Grasmere B&B
What a beautiful place to go rowing! Grasmere is about 20 minutes from Blenheim Lodge, although there are also numerous boating and water sport activities on Lake Windermere, just 5 minutes’ walk from our front door.

Blenheim Lodge is open year round, including Easter. We have double, single, twin and triple accommodation available to guests looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway from the hubbub of life. Prices range from £111 per night B&B for a single en-suite bedroom with Lake and fell views and from £133 per night B&B for a double en-suite room, also with Lake and fell views. We have one shower en-suite room with fell views available for double or twin occupancy from £190 per night B&B. A third person may also occupy this latter room at £97 per night B&B.

Belle Isle is one of single en-suite rooms with pretty views to the north of Lake Windermere.

This is just one small aspect of the panorama that can be seen from The Langdale 4-Poster room and many other bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge B&B.
The Dalesway B&B Room
The Dalesway is one of my favourite bedrooms: quiet, relaxing, and exuding that feeling of being away from it all!
Bed and Breakfast on the Dalesway
The Dalesway room may be used for double, twin or triple occupancy and has some lovely tranquil views overlooking peaceful Brant Fell, into which our B&B nestles.

Our 19th century guest house is quietly located on a hilltop in Bowness on Windermere with its own parking facilities and easy walking access to Lake Windermere and Bowness Pier. The Dales Way Footpath is a half-minute stroll from our front door with well defined footpaths to wander at will, including one to Brant Fell summit, from which are 360-degree views of Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells. From our Lake-facing guest house windows, our B&B guests will also be treated to outstanding views of Lake Windermere and the fells from their bedrooms. Our guest lounge offers similar far-reaching Lake Windermere and fell views.

dales way foot long distance foot path
The Dales Way Footpath starts quite literally from the back of our house, with Blenheim Lodge being en-route for and the first guest house off The Dales Way. Walk down that path in this photo and turn left onto the first tarmac road to reach Blenheim Lodge B&B. It’s all of a minute’s walk!
The Fairfield Bed and Breakfast room
The Fairfield is our largest bedroom at Blenheim Lodge. From the velvet daybed seen to the left which has now been replaced by a Liberty loveseat set in the huge floor to ceiling bay windows in this room, guests may enjoy views to the north of Lake Windermere and the fells as far as the eye can see.
Inversion, lake view room, bed and breakfast room, bedroom views
Inversions mostly occur in Spring and Autumn. This inversion over Lake Windermere was snapped from one of 10 Lake-facing bedrooms at Blenheim Lodge.
