It has been a week of variable weather thus far, so I thought I would share some images of our surroundings taken during this period. We have had sunshine, rain, drizzle, mist, and a combination of all these weather conditions within a 24-hour period. Bowness is a pretty Lakeland town, and the views from our home and Bed and Breakfast are absolutely stunning.
Belle Isle sitting pretty in the mist
Belle Isle is the largest island on Windermere and we can see it from Blenheim Lodge. A few days ago, we had a rather misty morning comprising low cloud and soft drizzle.

Sunset over Windermere
This amateur effort was taken by moi when I saw the sun setting over the horizon. It was snapped from our front porch at Blenheim Lodge.

Woodlands and fields alight with sunshine
We love the fact that The Dalesway is just on our doorstep, as are the many open acres, woodlands and viewpoints to wander and explore at will. It’s wonderful to have such a natural environment literally on the other side of our hedge, as you can see from the photograph!

Bright skies over Windermere
The Lake looks fabulous in all seasons – although I am biased, of course! Here it is under endless blue skies this July.

The Lake District is absolutely gorgeous and there are lots of things to see and do whatever the weather. Why not come and experience this beautiful National Park for yourself? Summer breaks start at only £64 per night for single en-suite rooms with Lake views and from £93 per night for double en-suite rooms with Lake views.
Hope to see you soon!
Blenheim Lodge . . . panoramic Lake views, peace and tranquillity, nestled against acres of beautiful fields and woodlands, in the heart of the English Lake District National Park.’
