Believe it or not, the Lake District, like the rest of the UK, does also enjoy exceptional sunny days in November and throughout the year. Yes, believe it! Often, whilst it is raining cats and dogs in other UK towns, villages and cities, the Lake District is basking in glorious sunshine untroubled by chilly winds or clouded skies. I took some photos of our local scenery yesterday from our front porch, guest lounge, and guest rooms. Ten of our bedrooms proffer excellent views of Lake Windermere and its surrounding fells. One bedroom, my favourite, overlooks wooded Brantfell, into which our guest house nestles.

The views above were snapped from both ground and first floor accommodation at our B&B. Here is a view photographed from The Eyrie, an en-suite single room situated on the second floor of Blenheim Lodge:

I am no photographer so all the photos here are amateur efforts. This was snapped from the Velux window in The Eyrie, our second floor attic room.

Finally, here is a woodland view as seen from Blenheim Lodge. The Dalesway is the only bedroom with woodland views, although we also have views of the woodlands and Brantfell from our first floor landing window.

This November day sees evening sunshine alighting on Brantfell, where our Bed and Breakfast and National Trust acres adjoin. Our hedge, seen in the middle ground, acts as a natural boundary between Blenheim Lodge and National Trust acres. From our house, it is a 1-minute stroll through the farm gate that opens onto the fell, where walkers may explore its many acres and viewpoints at will. This photo was taken from the first floor landing at Blenheim Lodge.
The trees are almost bald now! Our hedge, which you can see in the foreground, separates our Lodge from National Trust acres. To access these, take a minute's stroll to the footpath on the far left of the photo. This is The Dales Way Footpath leading to 4 viewpoints.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the photos! Why not come and admire these views for yourself? We currently have special offers available, including New Year. You could take advantage of these and our central location, and have yourself an amazing break in the Lake District at the same time.
